Job Description:
The Account Executive position is a sales position responsible for lead generation and acquiring new business in an assigned geographical territory. This is a phone based role, calling into our prospective customers, identifying and qualifying opportunities for Decision Critical products and services. This position also contributes significantly to ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and retention. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of an industry changing technology company in the healthcare arena. Success at this position will ensure quick growth opportunities, increased responsibilities and the ability to move into a senior sales position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Qualify inbound opportunities
- Outbound targeting of new opportunities
- High call activity (50 calls per day)
- Manage leads, information, and activities in salesforce.com
- Prepare and send information to prospective customers
- Call on senior-level executive contacts
- Develop and nurture new business over the phone
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets
- Drive new bookings and customer satisfaction by proactively calling into the customer base and within the assigned territory
- Position and sell additional products and services
- Find and generate new sales opportunities
- Drive new business by prospecting within targeted accounts in the geography, understanding their needs, and delivering the value proposition for Decision Critical products and services
- Highly incented to deliver high margin and long term contracted partnerships
- Maintain and update the customer / prospect database.
- Follow the Decision Critical Solution Selling process
- Provide reports as required on all sales and prospecting activities
Skills:
- 2-3 years phone based sales experience, selling in the salesforce.com customer base a plus
- College degree
- Success in telesales prospecting and developing new business opportunities
- Solution Selling experience a plus
- Experience and comfort in generating new leads by cold calling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create rapport over the phone
- Salesforce.com experience a plus
- Ability to generate bookings
- Strong customer focus with excellent customer service and business communication, written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Demonstrated computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook), Internet, and ability to quickly learn new software applications
